Did you know that the windshield is part of the structure of

windshields have an Ultra Violet (UV) protective coating to protect us from the
sun. Windshields are part of a vehicles overall protection system (like an air
bag or seat belt) and they are installed using a special urethane (the sticky
stuff between your windshield and the vehicle). Another little known fact is that the
windshield not only serves to keep people IN the vehicle (as well as your seat

windshield, in a rollover crash, the roof could collapse and crush the

is typically two sheets of curved glass with a thick plastic middle layer to
