What's Whacky Wednesday with Accurate Auto Glass all about?

At a social media course, we recently learned that Wednesday is the best day of the week to interact and build relationships on Facebook. So, we came up with a fun game that can get us "chatting" on Wednesdays. It's a nice way to break up the week. This started a few weeks ago with a trivia question that the Accurate Auto Glass team came up with. The first person with the right answer was the winner and she was 'on deck' for coming up with the following week's question. Once her question was posted, we sent her a Starbucks gift card and a thank you note. The trend has continued for a month now and we've had some great questions, answers, and support from the Facebook community of Accurate Auto Glass fans.

We are hoping that someone has some visual trivia sometime soon - those photos that make you say "what am I looking at?" are always fun! So - put your thinking caps on and/or grab your cameras. We want to hear from you. And if you haven't liked us on Facebook yet, here's your chance: http://www.facebook.com/AccurateAutoGlassofAmerica

The benefits of liking us are:
* Fun and informative status updates and pictures
*Whacky Wednesday Trivia with Accurate Auto Glass
*You'll be entered in our drawing for the television once we hit 1,000 'likes'
*The opportunity to ask questions of the experts in auto glass

Talk to you soon and thank you for your support!

The Accurate Choice - The Relationship Factor

As of the  Badoo  study released April 25th - 39% of Americans spend more time socializing online compared to face-to-face, more than in the U.K. (36%) and Germany (35%).

Well, it's a good thing that Accurate Auto Glass of America, LLC can now be found on Facebook. "Why?" you ask?? Because it's important to us to socialize with our team, our customers, and our vendors. Here we are: http://www.facebook.com/AccurateAutoGlassofAmerica

You have choices about where to go for your next auto glass replacement - we think what's going to help you make the Accurate choice, is the relationship factor. Here's what one recent customer had to say about her experience:

We run special contests to keep you engaged with us, and we want to hear from you, chat with you, and socialize with you.

There are no dumb questions. If you've never had a windshield replaced (or even if you have) and you have a question, we'd rather have you ask so we can put your mind at ease as opposed to always wondering and feeling like you're in the dark.

Let us know how we can interact with you - we want to be where you are (which is why we have Facebook, Twitter, Email, a Website, Telephones, and Fax Machines)

Father's Day - Grilling Burgers or Brats?

Father's Day is right around the corner! Father's Day is a great time for grilling out and we have some fun grill statistics to ensure that you are the 'know it all' at this years celebration:

A 2009 study conducted by the Hearth, Patio & Barbecue Association (HPBA) shows that 82 percent of all U.S. households own a grill or smoker and 89 percent in households with four or more members. And, 97 percent of grill owners actually used their grill in the past year. More than 16.7 million new grills were shipped in 2009 alone.

A majority of grill owners use their grills year-round, with 45 percent grilling at least 1-2 times per week during peak summer months.

Now, the question is:

National Highway Statistics

This was just plain scary and we wanted to share - stay tuned for an uplifting post to follow!

According to a 2007 National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report, a car's windshield is one of the primary components of a vehicle's safety restraint system. Yet, recent national statistics show nearly eight out of ten auto glass replacements fail to be installed properly and safely. Improperly installed replacement windshields can be deadly for both drivers and passengers. (source link)

NOT a Rat Race

We often call life a rat race - but seriously? Are we rats? Are we trying to win the race so we get a rat? What does that mean anyway? I want to share a quote with you from Timothy Ferriss (author of the Four Hour Work Week) and then I want to tell you that if I can change, anyone can change.

Here's the quote: “Slow Dance: Have you ever watched kids, On a merry-go-round? Or listened to the rain, Slapping on the ground? Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight? Or gazed at the sun into the fading night? You better slow down. Don't dance too fast. Time is short. The music won't last. Do you run through each day, On the fly? When you ask: How are you? Do you hear the reply? When the day is done, do you lie in your bed, With the next hundred chores, Running through your head? You'd better slow down, Don't dance too fast. Time is short, The music won't last. Ever told your child we'll do it tomorrow? And in your haste, Not see his sorrow? Ever lost touch, Let a good friendship die, Cause you never had time, To call and say Hi? You'd better slow down. Don't dance so fast. Time is short. The music won't last. When you run so fast to get somewhere, You miss half the fun of getting there. When you worry and hurry through your day, It is like an unopened gift thrown away. Life is not a race. Do take it slower. Hear the music, Before the song is over.”

Before you start thinking about your own life and contemplating a change, and before you start making excuses about why you're comfortable doing what you are doing, I want you to picture your dream life, jot down a few ideas and then compare it with your current life. If you're working more than you're living...it's time to re-evaluate and make a change. You'll never be as young as you are right now - so start today!

Life is NOT a rat race and YOU are not a rat - take time to hear the music!
